A piece enters the collection when three things hold: the making is honest, the condition is either sound or repairable without disguise, and the history can be traced far enough back to be stated plainly.

We decline more than we take. A signature alone is not a reason to buy, and neither is a period. The object has to be good.

Prices are set once, against comparable auction results and dealer sales, and they do not move to suit the person asking. There is no negotiation theatre, no inflated list price waiting to be discounted, and no different figure for a customer who seems willing to pay more.

Approved design practices receive a standing trade discount. It is the same discount for every approved account, applied automatically, on every piece.

We restore where restoration serves the object and we leave alone where it does not. Every intervention is recorded on the piece's entry — a replaced foot, a relined seat, a rewired fitting — because a buyer is entitled to know what they are looking at.

We do not refinish surfaces that carry their age well. Patina is not damage.
